From a collector's estate, an antique Chinese headdress in silver repoussé. The open metal work is very intricate and beautiful ~ figures wielding scythes. This was a ceremonial wedding headdress and may have served as a base of other ornaments affixed to it. It pins to the hair with the two loops at either side, usually on to an updo or bun. Measures 6.5 inches in length x 1.75 inches wide.
